Phoenix Pride is a leader in the metro Phoenix LGBTQ+ community. Through the Phoenix Pride Community Foundation, we have made meaningful investments in LGBTQ+ focused nonprofit organizations, programs, and individuals. Since 2008, the Foundation has distributed $1,683,355 through scholarships, community grants, and partnership support. The Community Foundation supports our Scholarship Program, Community Grants Program, and Partnership Grants Program.
Through the Community Foundation, Phoenix Pride works to strengthen Arizona’s LGBTQ+ nonprofit community by providing financial support and serving as a trusted partner and advocate. Arizona is home to an estimated 286,000 self-identified LGBTQ+ adults, and local organizations play a critical role in meeting the day-to-day needs of LGBTQ+ people across the state. The Phoenix Pride Community Foundation helps these organizations continue their work by investing in programs that support stability, opportunity, and inclusion.
The Phoenix Pride Community Foundation also awards life-changing scholarships to LGBTQ+ individuals and allies pursuing higher education. By easing financial barriers, Phoenix Pride helps students stay in school, complete their education, and move forward with confidence. This support helps build a stronger future for individuals and for our community as a whole.
Phoenix Pride continues to develop programs that raise public awareness and work to eliminate homophobia, transphobia, and discrimination that persist more than 40 years after our founding.
