It’s hard to quantify our gratitude for the support we receive from the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF), an organization that manages funds put in its care in order to create lasting legacies for good.

ACF believes community non-profits should be financially sustainable so they can most effectively serve the populations that need their support. And for the past 15 years, ACF has been offering that valuable guidance to Phoenix Pride, specifically related to the scholarship funds we award to deserving LGBTQ+ youth multiple times each year.

Thanks to the investment guidance offered by ACF, Phoenix Pride’s scholarship funds have experienced a cycle of growth over the years that allows them to continue supporting students in perpetuity. In other words, ACF has helped Phoenix Pride create a legacy.

That’s pretty amazing.

And they repeat that work over and over again for other organizations that support our community, while also managing the Kellenberger + Tollefson Center for LGBTQ Philanthropy. The goal of the center is to inspire and build philanthropy among the LGBTQ community, encourage philanthropic investment by the LGBTQ community and support LGBTQ-supported nonprofit organizations, among other things.

ACF’s careful and steadfast management of donated funds is creating a stronger community for everyone, including the LGBTQ community. And, we’re grateful to have the support of a mindful organization that prioritizes the financial and social health of its community.
